We test bedding in a house, not a lab.

We named the shop after the two things a bedroom always ends up full of. So before a set goes on sale here, it has to survive both of them — a dog who treats the duvet as her personal chaise, and a laundry pile that never quite empties.

The four things we put every set through

None of it is complicated. It's just the stuff that actually happens to bedding, week after week.

The corgi test

Paws, claws and one dog who believes the comforter belongs to her. We check for snags, pulls and any sign the quilting has shifted where she lands.

The weekly wash

Repeated cold washes and low tumbles, checking that the fill stays evenly distributed and the colour doesn't dull after months of cycles.

The five-minute reset

Can the whole bed go from slept-in to looking genuinely tidy in under five minutes? A set that takes longer than that will never get made.

The accident test

Spills, muddy paws and the occasional glass of water. It has to come clean in a normal wash without staining, and survive being washed the same evening.

Why this is the only test that matters

Bedding gets judged in the worst conditions, not the best ones. Nobody notices how a comforter handles a catalogue shoot — they notice it at 6am when the dog has been on it and someone has to make the bed before work.

That's the version of the product we sell. If a set can't take that, it doesn't go on the site — which is also why we only sell one, rather than a catalogue of things we haven't lived with.
